Specific Rules for Instrumental Sections
Instrumental Music and Bands dates are 1 June to 4 June.
Note: Entries close Friday 1 May 11pm; Late entries Monday 4 May, 11pm and will incur a $13 fee;
No entries will be taken after May 5th.
Adjudicator: Mr. Peter Grant
Venues: Soloists - Mozart Hall, Gilles Street, Warrnambool
Duets, Ensembles & Bands - Emmanuel College, Ardlie Street, Warrnambool
Piano (Solo & Duets) - Mozart Hall, Gilles Street, Warrnambool
Please Note: There is NO Guitar, Drum or Organ sections for the 2026 year

All music must be presented in good order to the Accompanist ONE MONTH PRIOR to the performance. Manuscript copy will not be accepted.
A request for an official accompanist must be noted on entry. A late request may be refused. Accompanist fee is included in entry fee.
Competitors will be allowed to provide their own backing music. If you wish to provide your own backing music, we will provide a portable PA system; music must be supplied on USB, cued ready to play, at the beginning of the section you will be playing in (no vocals).
- One instrument only per competitor in each section
- All bars must be numbered
Adjudicator MUST be supplied with LEGIBLE PHOTOCOPIES of the MUSIC NOTATION (no originals please) which will be returned for destruction following adjudication.
It is ESSENTIAL that MUSIC NOTATION is provided so the adjudicator can follow the music you are playing.
Entry fees will NOT be refunded should competitor fail to compete in any section, once program has been printed.
