INSTRUMENTAL SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY


To be read in conjunction with "General Rules". Please read all rules carefully.

1.  In sections where two (2) or three (3) are competing in combination, competitors  may ONLY compete more than once if playing a DIFFERENT INSTRUMENT. Please  nominate instruments and partners on entry form.

2.   Should competitors find they are unable to compete, they are requested to advise the  Organising Secretary as soon as possible.

3.     CHAMPIONSHIP: All competitors entering a Championship Section MUST ALSO ENTER  AND PERFORM in their corresponding Age Section in two (2) other solo sections.  COMPETITORS MAY ENTER ONLY ONE CHAMPIONSHIP SECTION.

4.   ACCOMPANIST: The accompaniment for the instrumental section may be live piano  accompaniment or pre-recorded music.

5.   It is the responsibility of the Competitor to make all arrangements regarding costs and  practise with the Accompanist, and to do so at least FOUR (4) WEEKS prior to the  Eisteddfod performance.

6.    Any backing track must not contain vocal lines. 2. It is the responsibility of the competitor

       to provide the CD, the player and the person to set up and manage the player for the 

    item/s. The Eisteddfod Committee and / or volunteers are not responsible for this  equipment or the management of the soundtrack.

7.   Time limits are maximum time limits, and will be strictly adhered to. Competitors do not  need to use the full time.
