Welcome to the 2023 Music Eisteddfod!

To be read in conjunction with the CITY OF WARRNAMBOOL EISTEDDFOD REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS/RULES

Specific Rules for Instrumental Sections  

   Adjudicator: Mr Eric Andersen  (Broadford)

   Venues:     Soloists - Mozart Hall, Gilles Street, Warrnambool

             Duets - Mozart Hall, Gilles Street, Warrnambool 

            Ensembles & Bands - Emmanuel College, Ardlie Street, Warrnambool

            Guitar - Dale Cleves Music, Timor Street, Warrnambool

            Piano (Solo & Duets) - Mozart Hall, Gilles Street, Warrnambool  

   Please Note: There is NO Drum or Organ sections for the 2023 year

Competitors will be allowed to provide their own backing music.

  • One instrument only per competitor in each section
  • All bars must be numbered
  • Teachers can play to replace a student, but cannot win the section.

  Adjudicator must be supplied with LEGIBLE PHOTOCOPIES of the MUSIC NOTATION (no originals please) which will be destroyed following adjudication.

 It is ESSENTIAL that MUSIC NOTATION is provided so the adjudicator can follow the music you are playing.

 Entry fees will not be refunded should competitor fail to compete in any section.
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 5/05/2023 11:59:00 PM (AEST)
130 Woodwind/Brass/Strings/Guitar Duet     Novice

Any two instruments to be played. One piece - own choice. Where there are two different levels, entrants must enter at the higher level. Novice is under 2 years experience

131 Woodwind/Brass/Strings/Guitar Duet     Intermediate

Any two instruments to be played. One piece - own choice. Where there are two different levels, entrants must enter at the higher level. Intermediate is 2 - 4 years experience

132 Woodwind/Brass/Strings/Guitar Duet     Advanced

Any two instruments to be played. One piece - own choice. Where there are two different levels, entrants must enter at the higher level. Advanced is 5+ years experience
