DIVISION 16 - STRING SOLOS AND GRADED SOLOS (PRIMARY)

 

a.         Open to Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass.

b.         Duets may be any instrument combination within the String family.

 

 

STRING UNACCOMPANIED SOLO

a.         Composition must be written as an unaccompanied solo.

 

POPULAR/JAZZ/TRADITIONAL/AUSTRALIAN STRING SOLO

a.         Includes popular melodies, jazz style or traditional style (eg. jigs, reels) and Australian compositions.

b.         Backing CD or MP3 optional.

c.         May be accompanied or unaccompanied.

d.         Minimum of 16 bars.

 

J.S. BACH STRING SOLO

Accompanied or unaccompanied JS Bach solos (e.g. from the 6 Sonatas and Partitas)
