All bands should forward a full score of works to be performed in sections 225,
226, 227, 228 and 229 to:

3844 (prior to 1st September.)
Bands are required to use
existing stage setup.
Close 30th June, 2017.
Bands are required to use the percussion
Bands to provide own specialised equipment.

Brass Band Spring Contest
Bands in grades A, B, C & D will be required to perform a 25
minute maximum concert program of 3 (three) contrasting items.
Sections 225 -228 inclusive run under
rules of the Victorian Bands League (VBL) will be strictly enforced. The latest
version of the V.B.L contest rules are
available on the VBL website at http://www.vbl.org.au/publications/rules it is a condition of entry that all
competitors agree to be bound by these rules.
REGISTRATION OF BANDS:
bands that wish to compete in sections 225 – 228 must be registered
with the VBL or another Recognised Australasian Band Association
REGISTRATION OF PLAYERS:
c. All individuals that compete on-stage in
sections 214 – 216 at the Latrobe Valley Eisteddfod must be
registered with the VBL by Friday 26th August 2017 to compete in this

BANDS PLAYING IN OTHER GRADES
grade bands may compete in the grade immediately above their current grade,
provided that the band also competes in its own grade at the same contest.
grade bands may also compete in Open D Grade, provided that the band also
competes in its own grade at the same contest.
band is permitted to play any item in more than one section at any contest.
