Entries and Fees

All entries are to be made and paid on-line via www.stardom.com.au using the Stardom payment system. 

No late entries/late entry fees will be accepted. 


Entries strictly close Friday 12th April 2023, 11:59 pm Adelaide Time.


Each competitor pays a fee per section entered, as printed on the computer-generated invoice, plus a single administration fee appearing on the invoice after all required sections have been entered.  

Payment may be made safely on-line.

Rules

Competitors, teachers and parents are advised to read the 2024 Rules and Conditions of Competition carefully.


Other information

Competitors are asked to enter the repertoire they are performing including the title of each piece and the composer directly into Stardom at least 7 days prior to the competition as stated in Rule 22 in the General Rules.

This speeds up the booking in process on the day and reduces the potential for errors.

Unaccompanied solo. One or two movements from any unaccompanied work. Movements need not be from the same suite.

S306 Junior String Concerto     16 years and under

Time Limit: 00:00

Junior String Concerto. One or two movements of a concerto, cadenzas optional. No time limit. Entrants perform in ascending order of age. Previous First Prize Winners of this section are not eligible to enter. Competitor must state the chosen concerto, movement/s, composer and approximate duration at time of entry.

RECITAL OPEN TO ALL STRING PLAYERS. Two contrasting works which demonstrate your technical and interpretive capabilities within a time limit of 20 minutes. General Rules 10, 11, 12 and 13 do not apply and any piece performed in another section or which has won a first prize may be played in this section. Time limit - 20mins. maximum. Competitors from this section aged 25 years or under on December 31, 2024, may be selected to compete in the South Australian Final of the MBS Young Virtuoso Award.
