ADDITIONAL DANCE CONDITIONS
1. A competitor’s age shall be determined as at the 1st January 2021.
2. All competitors, teachers and parents must leave the auditorium, backstage and dressing rooms within 15 minutes of the completion of the session.
3. Competitors must use the equipment and speakers provided. Any official audio equipment is to be operated by the theatre technician only.
4. Clearly marked CDs must be handed into the Registration Desk 30 minutes prior to commencement of class.
5. CDs must be labelled with class number and competitor number. Each CD must have one dance only. ONE CD - ONE DANCE.
6. Curtains may be used for groups only. The time limit for setting and striking stage is 1 min. 7. Props and Scenery. Props are defined as simple hand-held items that competitors can bring on stage by THEMSELVES and are permitted only if actually used in the routine/performance. Examples of these are a bunch of flowers, a teddy bear or basket etc. The STAGE MANAGER may place table and/or chairs on stage if required. Each entrant is responsible for placing and removing their items on stage. Parents and teachers are not allowed to assist with any prop. All props must be removed from the venue immediately after use. NO FREESTANDING SCENERY IS ALLOWED. For clarification regarding this ruling contact the theatre technician, Matt Groom on 0417 341 377. 8. Propriety. Make-up, costumes and choreography should be suitable to the age of the dancers and suggestive lyrics/actions avoided.
9. Jazz solo includes jazz, funk, disco and musical comedy.
10. Groups must consist of 4 or more competitors.
11. All championship classes will be held on Sunday afternoon 29th August 2021.
12. Purchase of Dance passes & Season tickets are at your own discretion - NO REFUNDS GIVEN.
13. Restricted - Competitors who have not received a 1st or 2nd placing in the relevant dance style entered prior to 2021. Restricted competitors cannot enter Championships. Championships - can only be entered by dancers who have been placed 1st or 2nd in the relevant dance style in the last 3 years, (excluding restricted sections).
14. Stage Door Registration. Teachers are required to provide a list of all competitors to the stage door attendant on arrival. Competitors must sign in and out on this form each time they report backstage. The stage door attendant is in full control of all noise levels and movement in backstage area.
