Pianoforte Rules & Regulations - Conditions of Entry 2017

ENTRY PAYMENTS
Please remember to make payment either by credit card at the time of online entry OR by direct credit transfer (eftpos) to our Bendigo Bank Account OR by cheque to Pianoforte Convenor
after your entry online (full details below)
The system automatically deletes entries when payment is not received within two weeks of entry
ENTRIES – must be accompanied by full ENTRANCE FEES either paid by:
a. Credit card payment online at the time of entry OR
b. Direct eftpos payment from your bank account to our account: Eisteddfod by the Bay Inc., Bendigo Bank BSB 633 000 A/C 145212387 (reference: name and invoice no.)
c. Cheque with copy of online entry form forwarded to the Pianoforte Section Convenor
d. Cash payment - any Bendigo Bank will accept a cash payment to our account (details above
ENTRY NUMBERS -
Please note that due to time constraints we have had to place limits on the number of entrants in some sections. These sections will be closed when the maximum number of entries is received
COPYRIGHT - IMPORTANT - A COPY OF YOUR MUSIC MUST BE PROVIDED FOR THE ADJUDICATOR with bars numbered. Please bring this with you as we have no photocopying facilities
It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure that they comply with Australian Copyright Laws. Please refer to www.apra-amcos.com.au/musicatevents/eisteddfods.aspx to find the guidelines for Eisteddfods. It is important that you follow the
guidelines to avoid breaching copyright. The Copyright Declaration on our STARDOM entry and on our entry form have been approved to take the place of the Form 1 referred to in the guidelines.
Under COPYRIGHT LAWS all photocopies will remain with the Section Convenor and will be destroyed at the end of the competition.
Music books can be collected from the registration table at the end of the section.
3. PERFORMANCE CRITS can be collected at the registration table following the session. If you are unable to wait until the end of the section, you may leave $1 or a stamped self-addressed envelope at the desk
and your crit. will be posted to you.
4. TIME LIMITS - must be adhered to or you may be disqualified. Disqualified entrants will receive a critique of their performance only
5. A.M.E.B. OR EQUIVALENT SECTIONS - entrants must currently be studying this level or lower as at entry closing date - Friday, 29 July 2016
6. NOVICE SECTIONS - limited to entrants who have not been awarded a 1st prize at any Eisteddfod or Festival in the last 3 years as at closing date
7. V.C.E. PIANOFORTE SOLO – Entrants must be currently studying a V.C.E. music subject . Music must be chosen from the 2016 V.C.E. Prescribed List for Pianoforte.
8. THE MARGARET GREEN 60TH ANNIVERSARY SCHOLARSHIP –This section will be held Sunday, 18 September, 2016 with performances scheduled throughout the day.
You may indicate your preference for the morning session or afternoon session on your entry form and we shall endeavour to accommodate your time selection if numbers permit.
Prizes are awarded based on performances over the whole day and will be presented at the end of all performances.
9. A piece of music may only be performed once and is not to be repeated in another section of the Pianoforte Eisteddfod.
10. Previous winning competitors are encouraged to perform material not presented by them in past performances at the Eisteddfod by the Bay.
11. NON-PERFORMANCE – We would ask that you notify the Section Convenor if you are aware that you will not be performing on the day. There will be no refund of entry fees unless a section is cancelled.
12. MUSIC SELECTIONS - It is not compulsory to advise the chosen pieces at the time of enrolment although you are welcome to. We would appreciate you either adding your selection closer to the event or emailing our Pianoforte Convenor if you know what you will be playing before the day. This makes registration quicker on the day.
11. VIDEO OR FLASH CAMERAS – cannot be used inside the performance venue during a performance or disqualification may result.
12. EISTEDDFOD PHOTOGRAPHS - The Eisteddfod has an official photographer who may take a photo of prize winners at the end of the section. Eisteddfod by the Bay Inc. reserves the right to use this photograph for promoting the Eisteddfod. By submitting your entry you have automatically granted permission for photographs to be used for promotional purposes. If you would prefer that your child's photograph was not use please contact Section Convenor direct either in advance or on the day or notify the registration desk.
