INSTRUMENTAL SPECIAL RULES

 

To be read in conjunction with the general rules available on our website. www.coffseisteddfod.org.au

 

1. A separate copy of the music selection of each competitor must be provided for the adjudicator. Music must be clearly marked with the competitor name, section number and competitor number and handed to the librarian PRIOR to the commencement of the session OR AT LEAST 1 HOUR BEFORE THE SECTION BEGINS.

2. A copy of the COPYRIGHT DECLARATION FORM must be completed. This is available at www.coffseisteddfod.org.au.

3. Any photocopied material will be retained by the committee to be destroyed according to copyright ruling.

4. All Competitors entering the Championship section must perform in two (2) other sections in their age group. That is three (3) sections altogether including the championship. Competitors may only enter in one (1) Championship section in their relevant age group.

5. ACCOMPANIST- The accompanist for the instrumental section may be live piano or an instrumental backing track.

6. CDs should be clearly labelled with competitor name, section and competitor Number, track name and track number.

7. No accompaniment or teacher participation is allowed in Duets, Trios, Quartets or Ensembles.

8. Highest Aggregate Awards will include all solo sections and championships.

9. No Duet or Group scores.

10. No repeats need to be played.

11. Any section with less than 3 performers can be combined at the discretion of the Organising Secretary. (ie. age groups may be combined.)

12. There is to be NO photography and/or filming, including the use of mobile phones, during a performance.
