Music Scholarship Entry Guidelines and Rules: 

a) All competitors must compete in their age solo and one other section on the same instrument.

b) One piece from earlier in the Eisteddfod may be repeated.

c) Entrants in the 2795 Local instrumental/vocal scholarship must reside within the 2795, 2799 or 2787 locality.  Competitors must perform in their own age group on the same instrument. 

d) A brief one page resume must accompany the entry, outlining relevant studies and activities is to emailed to the Music Coordinator prior to the start of the Eisteddfod : bathursteisteddfod.music@gmail.com

e) Winners of the Scholarship sections in 2018 will be ineligible for entry in the 2019 Scholarship sections - this applies unless you are progressing in age from the Junior to the Senior Scholarship.

f) Competitors in ALL sections must report to the Copies Table upon arrival to "Check In". This must be NO later than Fifteen Minutes prior to the commencement of the session. The Copies Table can be found inside the main door of both the Theatre and Hall.

g) Competitors who have not reported as present prior to the beginning of their section may be considered ineligible to perform. 

h) Music competitors are required to provide an Adjudicators copy of their sheet music, band chart etc to be performed to be handed in at the Copies Table. This must not contain any names of the competitors.

i) All music adjudicators copies to be marked:    Competitor number and Section Number ONLY!

j) Accompaniment backing tracks must also be submitted at the Copies Table. They must also be marked : Competitor number and Section Number

001 Music Scholarship Solo     Junior 12 years and under

Session: 13/09/2019 1:00 PM    Time Limit: 12:00

002 Music Scholarship Solo     Senior 13-20 years

Session: 12/09/2019 6:30 PM    Time Limit: 14:00

All competitors must compete in their age solo and one other section on the same instrument. One piece from earlier in the Eisteddfod may be repeated. A brief one page resume must accompany the entry, outlining relevant studies and activities. Time limits will be strictly adhered to.

2795 Local Instrumental/Vocal Scholarship Solo     Open Age

Session: 12/09/2019 6:30 PM    Time Limit: 10:00

Performers must reside within the 2795 locality (2799 and 2787). Competitors must perform in their own age group on the same instrument. Performers can select own choice pieces to fill their 10 min programme as desired.
