Please read the General Rules and Division-Specific Rules carefully to avoid disqualification.

All competitors are required to frequently check the Eisteddfod website for the latest updates.

 

PIANO - GENERAL RULES

 

i.          One piece only except in Championship Sections.

ii.         Own choice of music.

 

DIVISION 05   PIANO SOLOS – Open

 

a. Pop/Jazz/Movie selections are not permitted in this division.

101 PIANO CONCERTO     Open

Time Limit: 12:00

1. One movement only with abridged accompaniment. 2. Orchestral part to be played on piano except where otherwise stated. 3. Competitors to arrange their own accompanist, who will not be adjudicated as part of the performance.

102 CHOPIN PIANO SOLO     Open

Time Limit: 08:00

1. Any composition by Chopin, minimum AMEB Grade 6 standard (or equivalent).

Entry: $16.501st $75          2nd $30          3rd $20          HC          
100 PIANO CHAMPIONSHIP     Open

Time Limit: 15:00

1. Competitors to perform in Section 140 (PIANO SOLO - Certificate of Performance or Diploma Level or Above) or in Section 141 (PIANO SOLO - Grade 7 or 8). 2. Two pieces, contrasting styles, which have not been performed in this year’s Eisteddfod. 3. Pieces must be a minimum AMEB GRADE 7 standard (or equivalent).
Entry: $16.501st Trophy (non-perpetual) + $100          2nd Certificate + $50          HC
