a. Costume suitable to support the characterisation or blacks recommended.
CHARACTER MONOLOGUE/POEM
a. Portrayal of one character in either verse or prose form, except for Sections 272, 273 and 274 which must be in verse.
b. Costume essential, appropriate to the characterisation or blacks recommended.
SOLO MIME
a. Mime costuming of black clothing and/or white clothing ONLY.
b. No props other than a chair(s) may be used.
c. Music on CD or MP3 is optional. Sound equipment will be provided by the Eisteddfod Association.
d. Own choice of topic.
IMPROMPTU SPEECH SOLO
a. Competitor to present an impromptu speech of no more than 2 minutes on a topic chosen randomly from the selection provided by the adjudicator.
b. Preparation time of 30 seconds.
MEMORISED PROSE
a. If the extract is taken from a picture book or similar, please ensure that text is written in prose rather than verse.
b. Prose is defined as written or spoken language in its ordinary form without metrical structure.
