  1. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

    SHEPPARTON YOUNG INSTRUMENTALIST AWARD

    INSTRUMENTAL MASTERCLASS

     

    - THIS MASTERCLASS IS OPEN TO REGIONAL VICTORIAN STUDENTS ONLY - 

     

    PERFORMANCE MASTERCLASS 2018

     

    1. This years’ masterclass is open to BRASS AND WOODWINDstudents from regional Victoria.

    2. The masterclass is open to students performing at GRADE 3 AMEB OR ABOVE.

    3. ENTRIES CLOSE three weeks before the competition date, at 5pm on the 31st of August, 2018. No late entries will be received.

    4. The masterclass is limited to 8 students who will perform and receive feedback of approximately 20 minutes each.

    5. The following time limits apply:

     

    a.     GRADE 3 – 5:                         8 min per student.

    b.     GRADE 6 and above:           10 min per student.

     

    1. Students are to present ONE PIECE at the masterclass.

    2. Students CANNOT present a piece they intend on playing for the competition the next day.

    3. Student’s performances at the masterclass should be accompanied by a live piano accompaniment.

    4. FEEDBACK on the selection may include technical aspects, fluency, stage presence, style or overall interpretation and will be given verbally on the stage to the performer. Performers may be asked to play parts of the piece again.
