Welcome to the 2025 Music Eisteddfod!

To be read in conjunction with the CITY OF WARRNAMBOOL EISTEDDFOD REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS/RULES

Specific Rules for Instrumental Sections 

Note: Entries close May 2nd, 11pm; Late entries until May 5th, 11pm and will incur a $13 fee;

No entries will be taken after May 5th.

   Adjudicator: Mr Peter Grant

  Venues:       Soloists - Mozart Hall, Gilles Street, Warrnambool

             Duets - Mozart Hall, Gilles Street, Warrnambool 

            Ensembles & Bands - Emmanuel College, Ardlie Street, Warrnambool

            Piano (Solo & Duets) - Mozart Hall, Gilles Street, Warrnambool 

            Guitar - Mozart Hall, Gilles Street, Warrnambool 

            Harp -  Mozart Hall, Gilles Street, Warrnambool 

   Please Note: There is NO Drum or Organ sections for the 2025 year

Competitors will be allowed to provide their own backing music. If you wish to provide your own backing music, we will provide a portable PA system

  • One instrument only per competitor in each section
  • All bars must be numbered

  Adjudicator MUST be supplied with LEGIBLE PHOTOCOPIES of the MUSIC NOTATION (no originals please) which will be destroyed following adjudication.

 It is ESSENTIAL that MUSIC NOTATION is provided so the adjudicator can follow the music you are playing.

 Entry fees will not be refunded should competitor fail to compete in any section.

 Philip Trigg Encouragement Award - Prize Money $50. Kindly donated by Mr. Philip Trigg. This award is for any participant in the Strings section as judged by the adjudicator.

105 Strings Solo     Novice

Time Limit: 05:00

All bars must be numbered. 2 contrasting pieces to be played. Solo with or without accompaniment. Novice category is less than 2 years experience
Entry: $13.001st Prize Money & Ribbon + $30          2nd Ribbon + $10          3rd Ribbon + $5          HM Ribbon          
106 Strings Solo     Intermediate

Time Limit: 07:00

All bars must be numbered. 2 contrasting pieces to be played. Solo with or without accompaniment. Intermediate category is 2-4 years experience
Entry: $13.001st Prize Money & Ribbon + $30          2nd Ribbon + $10          3rd Ribbon + $5          HM Ribbon          
107 Strings Solo     Advanced

Time Limit: 10:00

All bars must be numbered. 2 contrasting pieces to be played Solo with or without accompaniment. Advanced category is 5 years plus experience
Entry: $13.001st Prize Money & Ribbon + $30          2nd Ribbon + $10          3rd Ribbon + $5          HM Ribbon
