Tim is well known for his commissioning, performance and recording of Australian works. He has performed as concerto soloist with all of Australia’s major symphony orchestras and with many of our leading chamber musicians, most notably flautist Virginia Taylor with whom he has recorded four CDs. As leader of the quartet Guitar Trek he has pioneered the guitar family concept creating a large repertoire for the medium and six CD’s on both the ABC Classics and Tall Poppies labels. Tim is also renowned for his work as a teacher at the ANU School of Music, where he built Australia’s leading guitar area over a period of 30 years. A long list of his students have won prizes in international competitions and have gone on to enjoy successful performing and teaching careers themselves.
