Entries and Fees
All entries are to be made on-line via www.stardom.com.au. No late entries/late entry fees will be accepted. Entries close 5 pm Friday 13 April 2018. Each competitor pays a fee per section entered, as printed on the computer-generated invoice, plus a single administration fee appearing on the invoice after all required sections have been entered.
*Where age limits apply the age of a competitor as at 30 June 2018 will be used to determine entry, unless otherwise stated.
*The
Eisteddfod Council reserves the right to cancel any sections which have attracted insufficient entries, and refund entry fees,
or to divide or combine any section/s in consultation with entrants.
The Standish Roberts Brass Medallion may be presented to a brass player "for excellence in performance".
A Recital Section is open to all Brass and Wind Players. Competitors from this section aged 25 years or under on December 31 2018 may be selected to compete in the MBS Young Virtuoso SA Final. The prizes for the SA Final (October 14th, 2.30pm, at St. John's Church, Halifax Street, Adelaide) will be $750 Instrumental Prize, $750 Vocal Prize and the SA Finalist Award of $1,500 all sponsored by Beta Sigma Phi and Size Music. The winner of the National Final (in Brisbane in November) will receive the MBS 2018 Travelling Scholarship of $10,000 provided by Freemasons Victoria and the Australian Fine Music Network. The Brass and Wind Recital is to be held in late July or in August at the Salvation Army Citadel, 55 George Street, Norwood.
Other opportunities for brass players are available in the Eisteddfod Ensemble Event and the Adelaide Eisteddfod Concerto.
