An Open (Established) Choir being one with the majority of its members who have been performing together for 12 months or more. Each choir must present a program of three (3) songs. a) a unison song b) part song (2 or more parts - may be a partner song) c) own choice - unison or part song. At least one of the selections in this program must be by an Australian composer. All participating schools will receive either a Gold, Silver or Bronze Certificate for the school, plus a momentum for each member of the choir.

A Novice( New) Choir being one with the majority of its members who have been performing together for less than 12 months. Each choir must present a program of three (3) songs. a) a unison song b) part song (2 or more parts - may be a partner song) c) own choice - unison or part song. All participating schools will receive either a Gold, Silver or Bronze Certificate for the school, plus a momentum for each member of the choir.

Junior Primary School Choirs are for students up to and including Year 4 students. Each choir must present a program of two (2) songs. Harmony is optional. All participating schools will receive either a Gold, Silver or Bronze Certificate for the school, plus a momentum for each member of the choir.

Each Choir must present a program of at least two (2) Contrasting styles which may be contained within a medley. a) The focus being on entertainment in conjunction with consideration being on the choral element. b) It is intended to incorporate Choral singing with other performance elements (e.g. featuring soloists or duets, movement/basic choreography.) c) Whilst Soloist or duets/trios can be a feature in this section they are not permitted to dominate or perform for more that 25% of each song.. All participating schools will receive either a Gold, Silver or Bronze Certificate for the school plus a momentum for each member of the choir.
