Classical voice requires live accompaniment; pre-recorded accompaniment is not permitted. To book the official accompanist, please ensure you include this in your Stardom registration, as late bookings will not be available. See Accompaniment section for further detail. You may BYO accompanist instead. |
2.1 | Vocal Solo: Classical | 18 years & under | 06:00 | $25.00 | Saturday 23 May 2026 | Music of own choice within classical styles of vocal music. |
2.2 | Vocal Solo: Oratorio | Open | 06:00 | $25.00 | Saturday 23 May 2026 | Oratorio or cantata of own choice. |
2.3 | Vocal Solo: Art Song | Open | 06:00 | $25.00 | Saturday 23 May 2026 | Art song or lieder of own choice. |
2.4 | Vocal Solo: Classical Vocal Championship | Open | 08:00 | $25.00 | Friday 22 May 2026 | Heats – One operatic aria of own choice. Eligibility: Participants must have also performed in either Section 2.1 (Classical Vocal Solo), 2.2 (Oratorio/Cantata) or 2.3 (Art Song/Lieder). Participants must be available for the Final on Sunday 21 June, if they are selected. Finalists can sing the operatic aria from their heats, *OR a classical piece of own choice (e.g. lieder or art song) which has not been sung in any other section at this year’s Eisteddfod. *2026 Finals time limit: same as heats (8min).
