THE 2020 CITY OF WARRNAMBOOL EISTEDDFOD HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE SITUATION SURROUNDING THE CORONAVIRUS.

Specific Rules for Instrumental Sections

Adjudicator: Kara

Venues:     Soloists - Mozart Hall, Gilles Street, Warrnambool

         Duets - Mozart Hall, Gilles Street, Warrnambool 

                   Ensembles & Bands - Emmanuel College, Botanic Road, Warrnambool

        Piano (Solo & Duets) - Mozart Hall, Gilles Street, Warrnambool  

                   Pipe Organ - St Joseph's Church, Lava Street, Warrnambool

        Drum Kit & Guitar - Dale Cleaves Music, Timor Street, Warrnambool

        Percussion -  Emmanuel College, Botanic Road, Warrnambool (TBC)

 OFFICIAL ACCOMPANIST. In 2020 there will be a choice of 2 official accompanists.

  1. Philip Trigg. If you are using Philip it is essential that you forward your music to him at least one month prior to the competition. Contact details - email is muso3@bigpond.com
  2. Sian Pretty. If you wish to use Sian it is essential that you contact her at least one month prior to the competition.  Contact details - phone 0412 664 171

· One instrument only per competitor in each section

· All bars must be numbered

Adjudicator must be supplied with LEGIBLE PHOTOCOPIES of the MUSIC NOTATION (no originals please) which will be destroyed following adjudication.

It is ESSENTIAL that MUSIC NOTATION is provided so the adjudicator can follow the music you are playing.

Entry fees will not be refunded should competitor fail to compete in any section.

Aggregate Awards:

All school, college students and choirs are invited to nominate their school/college when entering. Points will be allocated for all place-getters to nominated school or college.

Aggregate Points:

· 1st 5 points

· 2nd 3 points,

· 3rd 1 point.

At the end of the MUSIC section the school/college with the most aggregate points will receive the Beryl Beardsley Perpetual Trophy and $100 prize money for the school.

094 Pipe Organ (Suzuki Repertoire) Solo     Junior

1 piece of music from the Suzuki Repertoire. A Junior is a player who is continuing to develop their skills in playing the pipe organ.
